We have all heard and debated the age old question. “What came first, the chicken or the egg?” In our case the answer is simple, neither!

When it comes to CluckHost it wasn’t the chicken or the egg that came first, it was a single Minecraft server. Once upon a time we started by renting a server host just as you are looking to do. We did as much research as we could and chose a host and started a new Multiplayer server, publicly known as Adults Play Minecraft. Our server grew very quickly and it wasn’t long before we expanded into multiple servers and became known as the AdultsCraft Network. As we expanded so did the problems with our server host. Constant hardware issues, unreliable backbone connections and almost non-existent support made it near impossible to run a proper server much less an entire network of servers.

We spent months renting and testing servers from dozens of different hosting companies trying to find a better solution for our needs. Some hosts provided decent servers and bad support, some offered bad servers with good support, and some were just plain bad. We soon realized that in order to provide the best service and support for our members we would have to build from the ground up. We put together the best hardware and software packages possible and before long our network of servers was running better than ever!

Knowing first hand of the problems game server owners faced with the current hosting options we knew they deserved better and we set out to do something about it.
